Dr Natasha Richards-Crisp, consultant, researcher and facilitator

Helping organisations create the conditions for meaningful change

From exploring complex challenges and bringing people together around shared goals to building confidence and capability, I work alongside organisations, networks and cross-sector groups to design practical, evidence-informed approaches that strengthen partnerships, improve practice and support better programmes and services.

Every project is different. Rather than offering fixed packages, I develop bespoke support shaped around your context, your people and the outcomes you want to achieve.

My work is centred around three interconnected areas, described below.

Research and Insight

Understanding complex challenges through evidence, curiosity and collaboration

I design and deliver research that helps organisations better understand people, places, systems and experiences.

My approach combines academic rigour with practical application, producing evidence that can inform decisions, strengthen partnerships and improve practice.

This may include:

  • Qualitative and participatory research

  • Evaluation and learning

  • Consultation and stakeholder engagement

  • Interviews and focus groups

  • Place-based research and mapping

  • Policy briefings and recommendations

  • Research synthesis and report writing

This service is particularly valuable when you need to understand what is happening, hear from the people affected or build a stronger evidence base before deciding what comes next.

Facilitation and Strategy

Bringing people together to build shared direction and turn ideas into action

Many of today’s challenges cannot be solved by one organisation alone.

I design and facilitate collaborative processes that help people build relationships, explore complex questions, develop shared understanding and move confidently towards action.

Whether facilitating a strategic workshop, guiding a partnership or supporting long-term collaboration, my role is to create the conditions for productive conversations and meaningful progress.

This may include:

  • Strategic workshops and away days

  • Partnership and stakeholder facilitation

  • Steering groups and governance

  • Co-production and collaborative planning

  • Strategy and framework development

  • Event and panel facilitation

  • Critical friend support

This service is particularly valuable when organisations need clarity, stronger collaboration or an independent facilitator who can help groups work well together.

Learning and Development

Creating engaging learning experiences that build confidence, knowledge and the ability to act

Learning is most powerful when people can connect ideas with practice.

I design participatory learning experiences that encourage curiosity, reflection and practical application, helping individuals and organisations build confidence and capability.

Areas of learning may include:

  • Creative and reflective practice

  • Confidence, resilience and self-care

  • Communication and collaborative practice

  • Productivity and sustainable ways of working

  • Health, wellbeing and community building

Learning can be delivered through:

  • Training and professional development

  • Workshops and learning programmes

  • Higher education teaching

  • Guest lectures and seminars

  • Peer learning and knowledge exchange

  • Coaching and reflective practice

  • Resources and toolkits

This service is particularly valuable when you want to strengthen skills, deepen understanding or support people to put ideas into practice.

Let’s Start a Conversation

Projects don’t always fit neatly into one area and often bring several approaches together. I’d love to hear what you’re trying to achieve and your preferred ways of working.

If we decide we’re a good fit, I’ll develop a bespoke proposal tailored to your context, objectives, scope and budget.

Projects range from individual workshops and research commissions to longer-term strategic partnerships.
